Clinical Evaluations
The purpose of a neuropsychological evaluation is to determine the presence and severity of a cognitive and/or emotional disorder and to provide recommendations for treatment. Individuals are typically referred by their psychiatrist, neurologist, or family doctor following concerns regarding memory, language, multitasking, inattention, and thinking speed. All evaluations involve an interview, and cognitive testing and other questionnaires are also administered depending on the nature of the evaluation. These evaluations typically take 3 to 6 hours.

Baseline Evaluations
Baseline neuropsychological evaluations are performed for those who are not currently exhibiting any symptoms of a cognitive disorder but desire to obtain objective cognitive test scores for future comparison. This is particularly helpful for highly intelligent people who may not show signs of dementia as early as others but later experience more rapid decline when symptoms are apparent.
Health insurance does not allow payment for baseline evaluations. The fee for the evaluation and report is $750.
